Fashion Edit #24 - 🎨 the ART Issue!
Welcome back to the Fashion Edit! We missed you!
It's certainly been worth the wait, 'cos this is the most fun fashion edit there ever was.
Be it the makeup, crazy headdresses, or the clothes themselves, these fashion designers sure know how to get noticed. Read on!

Below: "Gareth Pugh is definitely worth a mention for one of the wackiest runway styles, with models wearing bold stripes, colour and latex, matched with caricature faces and nylon wigs".

One to watch, Richard Quinn's MA Collection "With his masked models covered in unsettling florals" was a real stand out this year.

When asked "what was your thinking behind this collection?" he replied "I wanted to capture this feeling of different women and moods, the idea that the woman becomes textile ... These women are meant to be quite dangerous, unafraid".

Beauty & Distortion

Catwalk makeup can be literally anything ...anything. Even when the clothes look relatively normal they still get the crazy in there somehow.

Yep...! that's a bread hat!

Below: The Hood "When asked by The Cut what the inspiration for the hair, makeup, and nails was for the Hood By Air show at NYFW this season, the team of artists described it as "mischievous children who got into household accidents, like getting into Vaseline."

Below: Backstage at DRKN AW16. "Looks like someone got drunk in the kitchen".

Perhaps wearing unnecessary jaw and head retainers will be the trend you choose to follow this winter. Below: The fabulous Yawen Qian

Last but absolutely not least is Gareth Pugh.

"One word; y-ouch! The muse for this cheek-tying, mega-gloss look by makeup artist Val Garland? 'Joan Crawford, if she was Hannibal Lecter’s mistress.'"

Right. That's it! Maybe you're even inspired to be more daring with your photo-shoots next season. Or maybe you've just got a weird craving for spaghetti now.

Hope you enjoyed this ultra silly/art inspired issue of the Fashion Edit!
